Overview
IN MEMORIAM: Marshall Dennehey mourns the loss of our friend and colleague, Brian Blomain, who sadly passed away on June 10, 2024. Brian was admired and respected by everyone he worked with, and he will be remembered for his sharp intellect, kindness and sense of humor. His loss is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and he will be greatly missed. You may read his obituary here.
As an associate in the casualty department, Brian’s practice primarily focuses on the defense of insured and self-insured clients in serious loss cases where there is often catastrophic injury or death in the areas of premises liability, automobile liability, construction accident & defect, commercial trucking, insurance coverage, and sports, amusement and entertainment litigation.
Brian completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University Maryland in 2017 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Economics and a minor in Philosophy. Brian was also a member of the Phi Sigma Tao Honor Society. Thereafter, Brian earned his juris doctor from Villanova Charles Widger School of Law. During law school, Brian was chosen to be the Executive Editor of the Villanova Environmental Law Journal and was the author of “Trump Administration Makes a Splash: The Altered Clean Water Act’s Rippling Effect on State and Federal Water Regulation”, published during his tenure. Brian was also a research assistant for Professor David S. Caudill, during which time his research was used for the publication “EXPERTISE IN POLITICAL CONTEXTS: LATOUR AVEC THE THIRD WAVE IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY STUDIES”.
Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Brian worked for a regional insurance defense firm in New Jersey where he represented insured and self-insured clients in a broad range of insurance defense matters.
