Overview
Heather Needelman is an attorney in our Casualty Department, where she manages a wide range of claims, including those involving product liability, construction and equipment accidents, automotive liability, interstate trucking and transportation, negligent security, and premises and retail liability.
Before joining the firm, Heather practiced municipal and corporate litigation, representing government entities and private clients in complex legal matters. She regularly appeared in state and federal courts on behalf of municipal corporations and private entities, handling cases related to foreclosure, collections, and code enforcement. Her advocacy and dedication have secured successes in trial, advisory roles for several Florida municipalities, and legal counsel positions for regional government councils.
While working for a Miami-Dade County Commissioner, Heather advised on county, state, and federal legislation.. As an Assistant State Attorney, she prosecuted cases involving DUI, theft, and battery, gaining valuable trial experience in both jury and non-jury settings.
Heather earned her juris doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2011 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of Connecticut in 2008. She is admitted to practice in Florida.
