Jamiliya (Jama) Aliyeva

Associate

    Jama is an associate in the Casualty Department, specializing in product liability and construction defect cases. She plays a key role in representing manufacturers and distributors of tools, automatic doors, machinery and other heavy industrial equipment in product liability litigation and defending major grocery retailers in premises liability matters. Additionally, Jama contributes to the defense of fire loss cases and other complex product liability matters involving catastrophic losses.

    Born in Baku, Azerbaijan, Jama is a native Russian speaker. She earned her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in 2019. Following her studies, she worked as a Compliance Officer for the leading home care services provider in Pennsylvania. Jama then attended Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law, where she graduated with her J.D. and a Certificate in Trial Advocacy & Litigation. She received the Lena L. Hale Award for her outstanding extracurricular contributions.

    During law school, Jama worked as a judicial law clerk for the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas and the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court. She also interned with the City of Philadelphia Law Department, assisting in the defense of the city’s tort litigation cases. Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Jama gained valuable experience at one of Philadelphia's top plaintiff firms, where she worked on catastrophic injury, mass tort, and sexual abuse cases nationwide.
