Overview
Stephen Richard Gross focuses his practice on the defense of claims made and suits brought against insureds and businesses in construction, product, commercial, and property matters. Stephen is board certified in construction law and assists contractors and subcontractors with all aspects of construction related matters.
Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Stephen was a litigation partner for a few South Florida-based law firms that are known and service clients throughout Florida and the United States. While at these firms, Stephen was instrumental in defending cases in state and federal courts throughout Florida.
In 2006, Stephen earned his juris doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Florida. And before that, Stephen was enlisted in the United States Navy, as a nuclear electrician, and served aboard two fast attack submarines out of Pearl Harbor.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Stephen shortly thereafter relocated to South Florida. Stephen enjoys spending time with his wife, a South Florida native whom he met at the University of Florida, and their two children. Together they spend time exploring the area and travelling across Florida to attend their kid's basketball and baseball games.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Broward County Bar Association, where he previously served on the board of directors, and the local ethics board for the Florida Bar. Stephen is admitted to practice in the state of Florida and all federal courts in Florida including the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
