Overview
Tom Nardi is a member of the Casualty Department where he will defend clients across broad range of legal fields including general liability, product liability, trucking and transportation, automobile liability and premises and retail liability. As an experienced litigator and trial attorney, he previously represented clients in constitutional, civil rights, municipal and governmental liability.
Tom has a varied career, giving him a depth and breadth of litigation experience he brings to bear for his clients. Immediately prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Tom was an Assistant Public Defender, where successfully represented clients in a broad range of matters from traffic-related misdemeanors to felonies with potential mandatory life sentences. Tom has taken hundreds of misdemeanors and felony matters from first appearance to resolution, eventually specializing in juvenile and domestic cases. In addition, Tom previously worked at a large law civil firm in the Philadelphia area, where his practice was in both state and federal court, representing institutional and private clients in all manner of matters, from personal injury to complex constitutional claims.
Outside of his legal practice, Tom is an active participant in Stonewall sports leagues, Quizzo nights, and bad movie marathons. He and his husband are also working to visit every National Park; they’ve currently been to 16.
Results
Obtained a summary judgment in Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas in a banking case where Plaintiffs alleged failure to properly monitor alleged fraudulent transactions.
Obtained dismissals of several cases in Eastern District of Pennsylvania against state entity for alleged constitutional violations.
Obtained injunctive relief and summary judgement for a client in a complex construction regulation case in Eastern District of Pennsylvania, upheld on appeal to the Third Circuit.
Secured a dismissal of aggravated assault felony case due to prosecutorial misconduct and constitutional violations.
Secured a dismissal of attempted murder case due to prosecutorial misconduct.
