Christopher S. Devlin Joins Marshall Dennehey as Director of Professional Development and Training
Marshall Dennehey announced today that Christopher S. Devlin, Esq. has joined the firm as Director of Professional Development and Training. In this capacity, he will design, implement and oversee the firm’s legal and professional skills training programs, including associate conferences, annual mock trial and summer associate program, and CLE offerings for the firm’s 500 attorneys across 19 offices. Devlin replaces former Director Lawrence J. Schempp who served in the position for 17 years and is retiring in August 2024.
Devlin comes to the position after nearly two decades with Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he most recently served as Counsel in the Legal Quality Audit & Standards division, monitoring outside law firm performance through audits and value of quality alerts. Prior to Liberty, he worked in private practice at two regional law firms, and also served as in-house counsel at Kemper Insurance.

Devlin is a graduate of the University of Scranton and earned his J.D. at Widener University School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
