G. Mark Thompson Named to 2022 City & State Pennsylvania’s Law Power 100
G. Mark Thompson, President & CEO of Marshall Dennehey, has been named one of Pennsylvania's 100 most powerful attorneys by City & State Pennsylvania. The list annually recognizes lawyers who exhibit excellence in the profession of law and are deemed to be some of the state's most influential leaders.
Mr. Thompson, who was ranked #20 on the list, has been Marshall Dennehey’s CEO for the past five years, after serving more than three years on the firm’s Executive Committee and a decade on its Board of Directors. He has more than 30 years of legal experience with liability and fraud cases, as well as hospitality and liquor liability litigation.
Prior to moving to the firm's Philadelphia headquarters in 2014, Mr. Thompson was the regional managing attorney for its four Florida offices. A Florida native, it was there he built a reputation as a "go to" attorney advising Fortune 500 clients in high-profile, high-exposure and often crisis situations. During his career he has handled matters that attracted international media attention, are the subject of books, a documentary film and in one instance a hearing before the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington D.C., at which he represented one of the corporations testifying.
Mr. Thompson is a member of the Board of Directors of Christian Legal Clinics of Philadelphia, a legal aid organization assisting the disadvantaged, where he volunteers monthly. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and received his J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University.
