Josh J.T. Byrne Appointed to Board of Governors of Philadelphia Bar Association
Josh J.T. Byrne, shareholder and Chair of the Disciplinary Board Representation Practice Group at Marshall Dennehey, has been appointed to the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association. He will serve a 3-year term, effective January 1, 2023.
Byrne focuses his practice on the representation of attorneys in legal malpractice, wrongful use of civil proceedings, and disciplinary board matters. He also represents many other types of professionals in the federal and state courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and before disciplinary boards. He has drafted or co-authored several amicus curiae briefs on behalf of the Pennsylvania Bar Association in his capacity as co-chair of the Amicus Curiae Brief Committee. He is also chair of its Professional Liability Committee which provides malpractice avoidance seminars throughout Pennsylvania.
Active in the Pennsylvania legal community, Byrne also co-chairs the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Professional Responsibility Committee. He additionally serves on the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Ethics Committee and is a Zone One delegate to the PBA’s House of Delegates. He is also a Judge Pro Temp for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
A graduate of Earlham College and Rutgers University School of Law, Byrne is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for professional competence.
