Matthew J. Butler Joins Marshall Dennehey's Health Care Department in Scranton
Matthew J. Butler, Esq. has joined Marshall Dennehey’s Scranton office as Special Counsel in the firm’s Health Care Department.
Butler has nearly 20 years of experience representing both defendants and plaintiffs in civil litigation matters. For the past several years he has focused his practice on the defense of health care providers and facilities, including doctors, nurses, nursing staff, physician practice groups, skilled nursing facilities and personal care homes throughout Pennsylvania. A skilled trial lawyer, he is experienced in all stages of litigation and has brought numerous cases to optimal resolution.
A member of the Lackawanna and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, he is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. Upon graduation and before entering private practice, he served a two-year term as law clerk to the Honorable Terrence R. Nealon of the Court of Common Pleas of Lackawanna County. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
