Michele R. Punturi Named a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers
Michele R. Punturi, Shareholder and Director of the Workers’ Compensation Department at Marshall Dennehey, has been named a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers.
The College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers was established to honor attorneys who have distinguished themselves in the practice of workers' compensation law. Ms. Punturi is among a select group of attorneys in Pennsylvania, and across the country, who have earned this prestigious honor.
Ms. Punturi devotes the entirety of her practice to the defense of workers' compensation matters, representing self-insureds, insurance companies and employers. Recognized for her innovative legal strategies, she has argued numerous cases in front of the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board and has taken multiple cases to the Commonwealth Court.
In her role at Marshall Dennehey, Ms. Punturi oversees 35 workers' compensation attorneys throughout ten of Marshall Dennehey’s 19 offices. She is additionally a member of the firm's board of directors.
Ms. Punturi is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for an attorney’s ethical and professional competence, and she is recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the Widener University School of Law, she is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
