Alexander J. Mendez

Associate

    Alex is an associate in the Casualty Department where he handles matters involving automobile litigation, premises liability, personal injury protection claims (PIP) and general casualty matters. As a member of the Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and Fraud/Special Investigation Practice Group, Alex works in tandem with insurance carriers evaluating cases and taking Examinations Under Oath on SIU related issues, resolving PIP disputes within the state of Florida. Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Alex worked as a Plaintiff’s attorney in the field of workers compensation representing injured workers.

    Alex graduated from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History in 2015. After graduation, he moved back to South Florida to attend Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, where he obtained his juris doctor in 2018.

    Alex was actively involved in extracurricular activities at Nova. He was the Vice President of the Federalist Society, External Operations Coordinator of the NSU Trial Association, and a member of the Hispanic Student Bar Association.

    Throughout his time at NSU Shepard Broad College of Law, Alex was an active member of the NSU Trial Association, where he competed in multiple trial competitions.

    In 2018, Alex was inducted into the Order of the Barristers to celebrate his excellence in trial advocacy.
