A.C. Nash Receives a “Best Mentors Award” from the Daily Business Review
Alan Carroll (A.C.) Nash, Shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale office of Marshall Dennehey, has received a “Best Mentors Award” as part of the Daily Business Review’s Florida Legal Awards. He and the other honorees will be recognized at a reception in Miami on May 19, 2022.
Mr. Nash, Supervisor of Marshall Dennehey’s Fort Lauderdale Casualty Department and a member of the firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, joined Marshall Dennehey in 2010. He focuses his practice on the defense of claims and lawsuits brought against insureds and businesses in product, automobile, commercial, liquor liability, construction, and premises liability matters.
“A.C. understands the power of mentorship in the legal setting,” said Howard P. Dwoskin, Director of Marshall Dennehey’s Casualty Department and Chairman of the firm’s Board of Directors. “He has built a strong book of business through his understanding of not only the practice of law, but the business of law. This includes developing relationships with young attorneys and helping to retain talent – and mentorship plays a key role in that formula.”
A South Florida native, Mr. Nash is an active member of The Florida Bar, where as a younger attorney he sought the guidance and support of a number of mentors, including former Florida Bar President, Eugene K. Pettis. He was a member of the inaugural class of The Florida Bar Leadership Academy and was appointed to serve a three-year term on The Florida Bar Student Education and Admissions to The Bar Committee. Additionally, he was named to The Florida Bar’s Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee “H” and later served as its chair.
Mr. Nash has additionally served as the vice-president for the Fort Lauderdale Community Development Corporation and was on the board of directors for the T.J. Reddick Bar Association. He is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for an attorney’s ethical and professional competence, and he has been selected for inclusion on the Florida Super Lawyers list since 2019. He has also been recognized as a “Top Up & Comer” in the South Florida Legal Guide since 2018. In 2014, Mr. Nash was selected a legal “Rising Star,” also by the Daily Business Review.
